Renaissance Plaza Retail Center

Phase I development of Renaissance Plaza, formerly known as the Broad Street Retail Center, began in August 2013.  The $2.55 million retail center of 13,750 square feet retail center with 10 bays will serve as a focal point for residents of the MLK Avenue and downtown Mobile communities. RP will enhance the Broad Street corridor, serve as a catalyst for future commercial development, and provide area LMI resident’s additional access to goods, services, employment and entrepreneurial opportunities.  Phase II development of Renaissance Plaza will likely consist of 25,000 square feet of retail space designated for national chain grocer.   MLKARC’s development of this previously publicly owned land creates a new source of sales and property revenues for the city and county.
